Introductory Language and Culture Courses
The three-week course "Norway på norsk" is an introductory course on Norwegian culture and language. The program combines introductory Norwegian language lessons with cultural experiences and excursions to various sites in the Oslo area. It is an excellent opportunity for locally employed staff at embassies and foreign missions to gain insight into Norwegian culture and language.
- Duration: Three weeks
- No exam
- Level 1 starts on June 22. Level 2 starts on July 13.

Norwegian Language Courses on All Levels with Exam
Our upcoming six-week Norwegian language courses with exam are provided at four levels: Beginner, intermediate, advanced, and upper advanced. These NORA courses are designed for individuals seeking to strengthen their Norwegian language competence while gaining broader insight into Norwegian culture and society.

- Duration: Six weeks
- Exam component allows participants to document their Norwegian level
- Course levels: Norwegian Level I, Norwegian Level II, Norwegian Level III, Norwegian Level IV

Bachelor’s courses about Norwegian culture
The International Summer School also offers four-week bachelor-level courses highlighting key aspects of Norwegian culture and society.

- “The Vikings and Medieval Norway” examines the history and cultural legacy of Norway’s early periods.
