The Norwegian Consulate General in San Francisco is currently looking to hire a skilled and motivated housekeeper and event assistant for the residence of the Consul General, in a full-time position.
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon visited San Francisco, California, and Seattle, Washington April 15-18th 2024. Accompanying him were Jan Christian Vestre, the Minister of Trade and Industry, Karianne Oldernes Tung, the Minister of Digitalization and Public Governance, as well as Kristina Sigurdsdottir Hansen, State Secretary of the Industry and Fisheries Department. California, Seattle, and Norway are all coast-line regions, and both countries shares high ambitions for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and climate change.

The Norwegian Consulate in San Francisco participated in the 52nd annual San Francisco Pride Parade on Sunday, June 26th.
A Norwegian delegation led by Director Kim Ekhaugen from the International Unit of the Norwegian Correctional Service, is visiting California and Oregon. The delegation had meetings with California government officials in Sacramento, and will also be visiting prisons in California and Oregon. The reason for their visit is their part in Amend, a prison reform program led by University of California San Francisco (UCSF), where the focus is on health for both employees and inmates, and on rehabilitation.
