Gry Rabe Henriksen

The Consul General/Head of Mission

Gry Rabe Henriksen took up her post as Norway’s Consul General in San Francisco in August 2021.

She started her diplomatic career in the Royal Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2000, and has held several positions both at home and abroad. She has worked in various areas such as Trade Negotiations and Commercial Affairs, East Asia Affairs, Humanitarian Affairs and Human Resources.

She was the lead negotiator for services trade at the WTO and participated in Norway-China FTA negotiations. She served as Deputy Director for East Asia and Oceania for four years, and acted as Senior Official for ASEM and ASEAN. She also served as Director of the Diplomatic Academy for three years, where she was responsible for diplomatic training on all levels, and the digitalization of all internal training.

Henriksen has previously been posted to the Norwegian Embassy in Buenos Aires as well as the Norwegian Permanent Mission to the WTO in Geneva.

Gry Rabe Henriksen holds a Master degree in International Relations from the University of New South Wales, Australia, and a Bachelor degree in Political Science, Economics and Geography from the University of Oslo, Norway.

She is married and has two children.
