Norway’s New Ambassador to Egypt Officially Assumes Duties

Mr. Erik Husem had the honor of presenting his credentials to H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and officially assumed his duties as Norway's Ambassador to Egypt.

On 27 October, Mr. Erik Husem had the honor of presenting his credentials to H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and officially assumed his duties as Norway's Ambassador to Egypt. 

Ambassador Husem brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as senior Adviser in the Section for Peace and Conflict Resolution at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has previously held diplomatic postings in Iraq and Syria, and served as Deputy Director for South Asia and Afghanistan. Mr. Husem has also worked extensively in crisis management, including leading evacuations from Kabul and Gaza. He is excited to begin his tenure in Egypt and further strenghten the close ties between Norway and Egypt.
