Romantic partners and family members of Norwegians may now come to Norway to visit
Starting 15 July, the Government plans to allow the entry of foreign nationals from countries outside the EU/EEA (referred to as third-country nationals) who have family or an established romantic relationship in Norway. This includes Canada.

Life certificates 2020
Every year NAV sends life certificates to recipients of retirement pension and disability benefit living abroad. Due to the Corona situation NAV will not send life certificates in 2020.

Due to the Covid-19 situation, the reception at the Norwegian Embassy is closed. Phone lines remain open, but phone hours will be reduced during Easter.
Stricter border controls being introduced – Norwegian airports not closing
The Government will close the border to foreign nationals who lack a residence permit in Norway. They will be turned away at the border under provisions of a Norwegian law relating to the control of communicable diseases.
