Notice of temporary closure during Chinese New Year

On the occasion of the Chinese New Year, the Norwegian Embassy in Beijing will be closed on January 28-31, 2025. We will resume regular operations on Monday, February 3rd.

Working hours during Christmas and New Year

The Norwegian Embassy in Beijing will be closed on December 25-26, 2024, and January 1, 2025, and will operate with reduced working hours on December 24 from 8 AM to 12 PM, and between Christmas and New Year from 9 AM to 3 PM.

The Norwegian Consulate General in Guangzhou has been permanently closed as of 30th of June

As of 30 June, Guangdong and Hainan provinces and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region are included into the consular districts of the Embassy in Beijing, and Fujian province is included into the consular districts of the Consulate General in Shangha

As of 11 of March 2024, the Norwegian Consulate General in Guangzhou will no longer be the responsible mission for applications for Schengen visitor’s visa or residence permit to Norway submitted at VFS’ Application Center in Guangzhou.
