Norwegian Embassy in Beijing

The Embassy's mission, in co-operation with the Consulate General in Shanghai and the Consulate General in Guangzhou, is to enhance and promote the relations between Norway and China.

Consulate General in Shanghai

Welcome to the Royal Norwegian Consulate General in Shanghai. The Consulate has the administrative responsibility for the following provinces: Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Jiangxi and Anhui.

The Norwegian Consulate General in Guangzhou

Welcome to the Royal Norwegian Consulate General in Guangzhou. The Consulate General, established in July 2008, has the administrative responsibility for the following provinces; Guangdong, Fujian, Hainan and Guangxi. The Consul General is Ståle Torstein Risa.

Honorary Consulate in Hong Kong

Honorary Consuls are appointed by the Norwegian government, but are usually citizens of the host country. As the title suggests, the consuls do not receive salaries from Norwegian authorities, but they have expressed their willingness to represent Norway in their region on a voluntary basis. Their main task is to promote Norwegian interests and Sino-Norwegian cooperation in their region.
