Honorary Consulate in Hong Kong

Honorary Consuls are appointed by the Norwegian government, but are usually citizens of the host country. As the title suggests, the consuls do not receive salaries from Norwegian authorities, but they have expressed their willingness to represent Norway in their region on a voluntary basis. Their main task is to promote Norwegian interests and Sino-Norwegian cooperation in their region.

The Honorary Consulate in Hong Kong can receive passport applications for children under the age of 12. Applicants must submit the application in person. All applications will be forwarded to the Embassy in Beijing for processing. Adults and children over the age of 12 must submit passport applications to the Consulate Generals in Guangzhou or Shanghai or to the Embassy in Beijing.
