The Visa Section at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Beijing is seeking two locally employed Visa Officers for temporary two-year contracts.
Main responsibilities:
- Register visa and permit applications, perform initial case processing, and print visa stickers.
- Coordinate the receipt of visa applications from the service provider and carry out visa sticker issuance in accordance with established procedures.’
- Perform other tasks as needed by the Visa Section.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience with visa-related tasks in similar roles at a Norwegian Foreign Service Mission is an advantage.
- University degree.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Norwegian are an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Experience working in a cross-cultural environment.
Personal qualities:
- Must be able to work as part of a team.
- Must work in a structured, independent, and efficient manner with strong attention to details
- Must have solid communication skills.
- Must have a professional customer/client approach and demonstrate flexibility.
- Should have a strong work capacity.
- Should be able to adapt quickly to new routines and/or changing regulations.

Salary:
To be determined, dependent on experience and qualifications.
Work permit:
Applicants must have a valid legal basis to live and work in China. The Embassy is unable to provide visa sponsorship or assist with visa applications.
