The performers were the Ole Mathisen Renderings Quartet from Norway and Sunna Gunnlaugs Trio from Iceland. Sunna's work has been described as "elegantly bridging soul-searching passages with uncluttered swing." Ole is an award-winning saxophonist and composer, as well as the head of Columbia University's Louis Armstrong Jaxx Performance Program.
