The ice bar at Arctic Cool

Arctic Cool Returns to the Embassy

The first Arctic Cool since the COVID-19 pandemic began was held at the Embassy on March 1.

Approximately 850 guests attended, including the Norwegian Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defense.

Arctic Cool is a yearly tradition that offers guests from Norway, the U.S., and elsewhere the chance to come together in appreciation of the Norwegian-American bilateral relationship.

In addition, the event's theme inspires attendees to consider the importance of the Arctic region, of which both Norway and the United States are stewards. It featured fire pits with cozy benches, an ice bar with signature cocktails, music and dancing, a photo booth, and food made by the Embassy chef to showcase Norwegian cuisine.
