The Embassy is a regional hub and handles applications for visa and residence permits from UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Qatar, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Yemen. In addition, we receive applications for residence permit from Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman.
We are seeking talented and high performing staff, who support and develop each other and are committed to high quality standards of service. We are looking for candidates with at least two years of relevant work experience.
Duties and responsibilities
- The visa officer will be expected to carry out the following tasks, amongst others:
- Register applications for Schengen visas, residence cases and other permits
- Perform control of persons and documents (ID control)
- Verification of information and documents
- Print visa stickers and distribute decisions
- Organize and file cases
- Communication with our customers (E-mails)
- Conduct interviews (in Dari)
- Perform DNA tests of applicants
- Receive applications dropped off by external service provider and expedite return of documents that are to be picked up by external service provider
Qualifications
- The following qualifications are absolute requirements:
- Fluency (written and oral) in English and Dari (Hazaragi)
- Proficiency in computer software programs such as Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
- Relevant higher education (e.g. university degree). Long and relevant experience may compensate for higher education.
- The following qualifications will be an advantage:
- Knowledge of Schengen regulations and experience from work with visa applications
- Proficiency in Arabic, Farsi, Urdu and Pashto or other regional languages and dialects. Language tests will be performed.

- Working days: Monday-Thursday 08:30-16:30, Fridays 8:30-14:00
- The candidate should be a holder of a valid UAE residency visa as per UAE Labour law and Immigration requirements
