Visitor’s visa and residence permit
A visitor's visa allows you to stay in Norway or other Schengen countries for up to 90 days over a period of 180 days. A residence permit gives you the opportunity to work in Norway and to stay for more than 90 days.
Citizens of Singapore do not need a visa to visit Norway. However, it is a requirement for entry that your passport is valid for at least three months after the intended date of departure from the Schengen Area.
In Singapore the Danish Embassy, through the Joint Visa Application Centre, receives and decides on visa applications on behalf of Norway. NB! Please be aware that the Joint Visa Application Centre is currently not processing visas to Norway due to the strict entry restrictions to Norway.
The Danish Embassy also receives residence permit applications on behalf of Norway. These applications are forwarded to the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) for decision. Information about the application process and document requirements can be found on UDI’s website.
Please visit the Joint Visa Application Centre’s website for information about where and how to apply for visas and residence permits.
Not a Singaporean citizen?
- Nationals of EU/EEA countries and of countries that have a visa exemption agreement with Norway do not need a visa to visit Norway.
- Nationals of all other countries need a visitor’s visa. Please contact the Joint Visa Application Centre.
