Team Norway in Singapore

The Norwegian Embassy in Singapore supports Norwegian companies in cooperation with Innovation Norway and the Norwegian Business Association (Singapore). Together, as Team Norway, we promote Norwegian competitive advantages – including offshore technology, sustainable shipping and renewable energy among others.

The overall priority of the Norwegian Embassy is to secure and enhance Norwegian business relations and promote Norwegian products and services in Singapore. The Embassy contributes to strengthening Norwegian competitiveness through business promotion along with assisting Norwegian companies and institutions in building relationships in Singapore. Norwegian economic interests are sustained through embassy initiatives and events, as well as continual interaction with local authorities, institutions and think tanks. More than 250 Norwegian companies are established in Singapore, the majority of them within the maritime and offshore sector. These companies represent the highest concentration of Norwegian business interests in Asia. Norway is also a considerable foreign direct investor in Singapore.

Innovation Norway assists Norwegian companies to succeed in the Singaporean market through counselling, and by offering market information, doing partner searches, facilitating meetings and arranging networking events. Innovation Norway also organise Norwegian pavilions on relevant exhibitions and fairs held in Singapore.

The purpose of the Norwegian Business Association (Singapore) (NBAS) is to be an active forum for Norwegian companies and business people where they can exchange experience and draw knowledge about business-related issues in Singapore.

Norwegian Energy Partners (NORWEP) is a non-commercial foundation that is jointly financed by the Norwegian government and industry. Their main objective is to support and assist in the internationalisation of the Norwegian energy industry through focus on international opportunities and building on the collective competitiveness of the partner companies.
