Executive Director, Norwegian Business Association Singapore (NBAS)
The Norwegian Business Association Singapore (NBAS) is searching for an Executive Director who combines a high level of motivation with exceptional management skills. This key role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the NBAS secretariat and spearheading innovative initiatives for the organisation. Our collaboration with Team Norway — including the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Singapore, Innovation Norway, and Norwegian Energy Partners — aims to bolster and facilitate the operations of Norwegian businesses within Singapore.
NBAS is a dynamic, not-for-profit entity that fosters connections between Singapore and Norway’s business sectors. The successful candidate will work closely with the NBAS President and the board to steer and expand the organisation. We are seeking candidates with outstanding communication abilities, a genuine desire to forge meaningful relationships, and the drive to deliver value to our members, all while striving diligently towards the fulfilment of NBAS’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent and execute NBAS policies and initiatives, advancing membership growth, and unlocking new business avenues.
- Energise business participation in NBAS events and activities, including sponsorships, to further grow the network between Singapore and Norway.
- Craft and implement strategies for membership recruitment.
- Manage administrative and financial operations diligently
- Lead the NBAS team, including staff members and volunteers, fostering a cooperative environment.
- Support the NBAS specialist groups (Shipping & Energy and Tech) in event planning and implementation.
- Collaborate effectively with Team Norway partners.
Requirements:
- Bachelors and/or Master’s Degree in a related field, such as business, technology, shipping etc.
- Experience in public, civil, and/or corporate sectors.
- Insight into the Norwegian and Singaporean business landscapes.
- Exceptional organisational and leadership prowess.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English and Norwegian.
- The capacity to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
- Willingness to adapt work hours for special events.
Working hours and location:
This part-time position (60% of a full-time role) necessitates flexibility, including availability for events outside regular hours. This is a hybrid onsite/remote role, primarily based in our office in the Hong Leong Building in the Downtown Core.
Compensation
A competitive salary, negotiable based on experience.
