Nor-Shipping 2023: Norway and Singapore sign a Memorandum of Understanding on Maritime Transport

During Nor-Shipping in Oslo 6-9 June, Norway and Singapore signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to further strengthen our bilateral cooperation in maritime transport.

With this MoU, Singapore and Norway agree to promote close cooperation towards the development of an efficient, safe, secure and sustainable maritime industry. Norway’s Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Policy Mr Bjørnar Skjæran and Singapore’s Senior Minister of State for Finance and Transport Mr Chee Hong Tat expressed their wish to actively use their political level meeting platform and to involve the private sector.

This year's Nor-Shipping theme was #PartnerShip. A suitable theme both for the common efforts of the maritime industry towards the goals of decarbonisation and increased digitalisation, and for the long-standing partnership between Singapore and Norway that this MoU demonstrates.
