Prime Minister participated in Nordic-Indian summit in Copenhagen

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with the prime ministers of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden at a Nordic-Indian summit held in Copenhagen today. Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre also had a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Modi and a bilateral meeting with Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin.

‘India is an emerging power and its economy is set to grow rapidly in the time ahead. In today’s meeting, we discussed cooperation in areas such as ocean management, climate action and renewable energy, and we agreed to establish a joint task force on energy. Prime Minister Modi expressed a strong interest in Norwegian services, products and investment, and I see India as an important market for Norwegian companies,’ said Mr Støre.
