A new vacancy at the Norwegian Embassy and the Norwegian delegation to the EU

The Mission of Norway to the European Union and the Norwegian Embassy is seeking a Housing Coordinator to join our Housing Team. The position is responsible for managing the logistics related to our portfolio of leased residences for diplomats, as well as coordinating maintenance and renovation work at the office and the Ambassador’s residence.

The Mission of Norway to the European Union is looking for a Housing Coordinator to join our Housing Team, to handle the logistics related to the portfolio of hired premises to our diplomats as well as coordinate the maintenance and works at the office and the Ambassador’s residence.   The successful candidate will be a member of the common administration for the Norwegian Mission and the Norwegian Embassy.   

The Mission represents the Norwegian government on all EU-related issues. With a staff of about 60 people, most of whom are seconded to the Mission by different ministries in Oslo, we maintain and develop co-operative relations between Norway and the EU. We are looking for a service-minded team player for the following position:

Member of the Housing Team

Main tasks

  • Supervise the entry into leasing contracts for our arriving diplomats in cooperation with our Relocation Agent,
  • Coordinate the maintenance of the technical installations in the rented properties,
  • Be the contact point for the respective property owners
  • Coordinate any repairs at the rented premises, the offices and the Ambassador’s residence
  • Contact with the property owners of the respective properties
  • Contact with companies for maintenance and/or repairs
  • Follow up tasks related to the rented properties, as updating inventory lists
  • Ensure the rent for the respective properties is paid
  • Follow up contact with suppliers of electricity/gas, water a.o.
  • Other tasks as required

 

Requirements

  • Flexible and service-minded
  • Able to multitask and work under pressure in a diverse environment
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • Good knowledge of French
  • A Scandinavian language will be considered an asset

Salary: To be negotiated

Contract: 1 year, with possibility of permanent position
