Applications for passports are possible only by appointment. To schedule an appointment, please send an email to consular.brussels@mfa.no.
The Consulate is open for appointments Monday to Thursday between 10:00 and 12:00. Please make your appointment well in advance, as the Consulate is usually fully booked two weeks ahead.
How does the appointment process for a new passport work?
When you arrive at the embassy, check in at the reception by stating that you have an appointment for a new passport and provide your surname. When it's your turn, we will start by verifying your identification to ensure the correct person is applying for the new passport. During the passport appointment, we will take your photo and collect fingerprints and your signature if you are over 12 years old.
The passport is produced in Norway and sent by mail to the Embassy. To collect your new passport, the old one must be submitted for shredding. You may keep the old shredded passport if desired. If you live in Belgium and have a long journey, you can opt to have your passport sent to one of our honorary consuls which you will arrange yoruself directly with the consuls. We have honorary consuls in: Antwerp, Liege and Zeebrugge.
You can find more information about our honorary consuls here:

It takes around two weeks for passport delivery. Additional time should be considered if you want the passport sent through one of our honorary consuls.

My passport has been stolen- what should I do?
If your passport has been stolen, you must first report this to the police in the location where it was lost. After that, contact the embassy to report the lost passport and potentially apply for a new one.
