The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Ankara represents Norway in Türkiye. The Embassy is also accredited to Azerbaijan. In addition to staff posted, the Embassy has 21 locally employed staff. Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Administration officer will be a member of the administrative team, where the head of administration is the team leader for 6 local staff. The administration officer will perform any given task including, but not limited to, the following:
· Administration of the residence, the chancery and the apartments for the posted staff
· Takrirs (Customs clearances) import, export, vehicles,
· Flight clearance requests from Norway
· Coordination of travels, meetings, events and delegations for posted staff
· Note verbales
· Contact and communication with Turkish MFA regarding diplomatic ID cards (kimlik), airport entry & tax exemption cards etc.
· Substitute for Receptionist
· Substitute for Ambassador’s PA
· Some translation work: Turkish to English - English to Turkish.
Qualifications
· The following qualifications are required:
o Documented fluency (written and oral) in English and Turkish.
o Documented proficiency in Microsoft Office computer software and able to learn new programs
o Higher education, e.g. B.A. in administration
o Developed cooperation skills as well as the ability to work independently.
o Ability to work well under pressure.
· The following qualifications will be an advantage:
o Experience working at an Embassy, international organization or public administration.
o Proficiency in translations.
o Good knowledge of social and cultural situation in Turkey
o Familiarity with a Nordic country through work or study
o All candidates who are not Turkish citizens must have legal residency and hold a valid work permit in Turkey.
Salary will be determined according to qualifications and experience. The currency of salary payments is EUR/TRY. A 15% salary deduction to SGK will apply. Depending on nationality and residency status, income tax will be applicable to either Turkey or Norway.
