Visitor’s visa and residence permit
A visitor's visa allows you to stay in Norway or other Schengen countries for up to 90 days over a period of 180 days. A residence permit gives you the opportunity to work in Norway and to stay for more than 90 days.
Citizens of Nepal must apply for a visitor's visa. Likewise, citizens of Nepal need a residence permit in order to work or take up residence for longer than 90 days. The Embassy of Denmark represents Norway in terms of Visa and Resident Permit related issues.
All travelers to Norway will need to contact the Danish Embassy in Kathmandu in order to obtain a visa. The Danish Embassy may be contacted using the phone number +977 (1) 441 3010, or via e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.

Please note that May and June are considered busy months as there will be many students applying for Resident Permits. The Embassy recommends that students apply as early as 5 months before the start of their course. But please note that applicants only can submit applications for Visa maximum 3 months prior to their travel.
