A person who acquired Norwegian citizenship at birth, but who has not resided in Norway for a total period of two years, or in another Nordic country for a total of seven years, will lose their Norwegian citizenship upon reaching the age of 22.
A person with sufficient connection to Norway may, however, apply for retention of their Norwegian citizenship. The application must be submitted before reaching the age of 22. The applications are processed by the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI).
For information regarding retention of citizenship, see UDIs website

You need to bring the printed application and relevant documents to the Embassy in Tel Aviv to be signed in front of Embassy staff.
The Embassy will send the application to the Norwegian Embassy in Amman.
Please be aware that UDI is the case- and decision manager for retention of Norwegian citizenship requests. The embassy is not involved in the process other than sending the application to the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) via the Norwegian Embassy in Amman. If you have any questions regarding the process, you may contact UDI.
