The ceremony took place on the 10th of November 2022 in Vientiane, People's Democratic Republic of Lao.
Norway and Lao established diplomatic ties on the 12th of November 1991. Over the past 30 years, the two countries enjoyed a good cooperation in a number of areas including humanitarian disarmament and sustainable development.
On this occasion, the office of the Norwegian Honorary Consulate has been set up in Vientiane. The opening was attended by Ambassador Solbakken, Head of Chancery Geir Magnussen, VIP guests from Lao PDR's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and representatives of Norway's partners and friends in Laos.
