Business Express Program

The company in Turkey that would like to apply for Business Express Program membership can do so by sending an application to the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Ankara.  The application must include the following:

• General introduction of the company printed on its business stationary. Please include the number of employees and all the contact details of the company and a contact person.
• Proof that the company fulfils the eligibility criteria for the Business Express Program.
• Original or certified copy of taxation certificate of the company.
• Original or certified copy of trade registry gazette where the company is listed.
• Petition letter written in English why your company want to be part of Business Express program.
• Activity certificate (Faliyet belgesi) for your company with barcode from E-government( E-devlet)

• The applicant registers the application and pays the fee here
• The applicant collects all the necessary documentation according to the BEP checklist
• If the applicant is going to meet personally at the Visa application Centers (if biometrics is not given the last 59 months), all the documents must be submitted at the appointment with the Visa application Centers.
• When applying without personal appearance, all documents must be sent together in one envelope marked “Business Express Program” and sent by courier or our Embassy. Please note that a Courier form must be added, for the passport with the visa to be returned at the cost of the applicant. 

Please note that according to the Schengen code, all applications has to be submitted 15 days prior to the date of travel

For all visa applications, it is a requirement that biometrics are provided. If you within the last 59 months have given biometrics for a Schengen visa, we are able to reuse the biometrics.

If you have never had a Schengen visa, or it is more than 59 months ago, you will have to meet in person at one of our VFS visa applications center in Ankara, Istanbul, Antalya or Izmir.

The visa application centers charge a separate service fee , which is paid cash at the centers. The visa application centers also offer additional services like passport delivery with courier and copying of documents against an additional fee.

All applications are to be registered at the Application Portal Norway. However, appointments to meet to hand in your documents must be booked with the visa application centers. The waiting time to get an appointment is normally not more than three days.

When you come to the visa application center, please inform the submission officer that you apply under the Business Express Program. 

For subsequent visa applications within 59 months, the biometrics in the VIS database can be reused by the Embassy. The Embassy will also be able to reuse biometrics given at another Schengen consulate in connection with a visa application. This means that once the applicant has submitted biometrics, Business Express visa applications can be sent directly to the Embassy by courier.

For the members of our Business Express Program, a multiple visa can be obtained quicker than for other applicants. However, the general rule is that applicants with no previous Schengen visa will only be granted a single entry visa the first time travelling to Schengen.

Applicants with earlier (recent) travels to Norway or other Schengen countries can be granted a multiple entry visa, if the former visas is used lawfully, according to the regulations in the Visa code.

Please note that in order for the Embassy to be able to issue multiple entry visas it must be documented both:

• In the invitation letter from the company in Norway how long the applicant is invited for and the period the applicant needs multiple entry visa for,
• The need for a multiple entry visa must be documented/stated in the confirmation letter from the Turkish employer of the applicant and/or the Norwegian company.

All holders of a Schengen visa may be requested upon entry to Schengen, to document the purpose of the travel. The Embassy is very keen for the Business Express Program to function predictably and smoothly. Please, therefore check the requirements listed in the Practical Handbook for Border Guards (Schengen Handbook), Annex 24 “Supporting documents to verify the fulfilment of entry conditions”.

• Our BEP program is only for business travellers

Your family members can of course apply for a visa to accompany you on your business trip to Norway. Please note that they will have to follow the normal procedure and hand in their applications at a VFS application center

• Postal application is only possible when biometrics is valid

If you have never travelled to Schengen before, or you gave your biometrics in connection with a Schengen visa application more than 59 months ago, you have to apply from a VFS application center  We will return postal applications if there is no biometrics accessible. 

• Main purpose has to be Norway

According to the Schengen visa regulations, you can only apply for a visa when you are going to travel to a Schengen-country. This means that you can only apply for a visa through the Business Express Program when you have concrete plans for a travel to Norway. If you are going to another country first and you do not have a visa, you have to apply for a visa to that country even though you are a member of the Business Express Program.
