Important notice on Saudi E-Visa

NB if e-visa is issued for one year, it means visitors can stay in Saudi Arabia for a maximum duration of 90 days total within that year! Note that the 90-day limit does not reset upon exiting and re-entering the country.

Please note that overstaying a visa in Saudi Arabia carries severe penalties, including hefty fines, possible imprisonment, and deportation with a potential re-entry ban!

The Norwegian Embassy in Riyadh cannot intervene to waive these fines, stop deportation, or prevent incarceration if you violate Saudi law.

Important notice:

If you’re performing Umrah on an Umrah visa, your window to apply closes after the first two weeks of Ramadan — roughly mid-Ramadan. No new visas are issued after that point. Umrah visas reopen approximately one month after Hajj concludes.
