We believe there are many good elements in this section of the draft and we will only comment a few.
We are pleased to see the emphasis on education, including the reference to “safe schools”.
Under the section on “Jobs and livelihoods” we support the promotion of access to affordable financial products and services for women and men in host and refugee communities and we believe this is an area where partnership with the private sector is particularly relevant.
We welcome the draft text on health and would suggest to include a reference to sexual and reproductive health, family planning and modern contraceptives in paragraph 63.
We also welcome the draft text on gender and underline the importance of a strong commitment to combat sexual and gender based violence, in line with paragraph 31 of the New York Declaration.
