A series of six formal consultations towards a Global Compact on Refugees will be held between February 2018 and July 2018.

Informal Consultations on the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly, and Regular Migration

A series of six informal thematic sessions on facilitating safe, orderly and regular migration will be held between April 2017 and November 2017 to gather substantive input and concrete recommendations to inform the development of the global compact on migration.

Thematic Discussions for the Global Compact on Refugees

A series of thematic discussions will be used to ensure that the Global Compact on Refugees and its programme of action includes the perspectives of United Nations Member States and other stakeholders. These discussions will take place at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, over five days in the second half of 2017.
