Storting and Sami Parliamentary Elections

Voting for the elections of “Storting and Sami Parliamentary” is available for Norwegian citizens who live or are staying abroad at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Tehran, Iran.

Voting rights:

All Norwegian citizens who have turned 18 or will turn 18 by the end of the election year, have the right to vote if they are, or have been, registered as residents in Norway. The right to vote in the Sámi parliamentary election is granted to those who are registered in the Sámi electoral register. Identification:

In order to vote, we need to know who you are. Therefore, you must show us identification. You can read more about identification at https://www.valg.no/en/for-voters/parliamentary-election-2025/identification/

Voting methods:

  1. Visit the embassy. Voters are requested to book an appointment in advance. Appointments can be booked by calling +98 21 2229 1333 or sending email to emb.tehran@mfa.no. Access to the compound is strictly limited to applicants who have scheduled appointments. Voters can book their appointment for the following dates and time:

        From July 7 to August 28, 2025

        Sunday to Wednesday, 10:00 to 14:00

  1. Mailing. If you are unable to visit the embassy, you can order official election materials by contacting the embassy via +98 21 2229 1333 or emb.tehran@mfa.no. You can send your vote by mail from your location. Please remember to order in good time. Your vote must be received by the municipality in Norway no later than 17:00 on Tuesday 9 September.
