Change in entry rules from 15 July
From 15 July 2020 the Norwegian government allows for visits to boyfriends or girlfriends who live in Norway in addition to visits to close family.

Schengen Visa to Norway June/July 2019
We advise all travelers to apply for Schengen visum to Norway at least 30 days before your planned travel. Kindly note that from Sunday 7 July 2019 you must have a pre-booked appointment with VFS in order to submit your visa applications.
New procedures for appeals
As of August 2018, there are new procedures on how to appeal a rejected application.
Are you planning to travel to Norway? From 1 August 2018 applications will be handled in Abu Dhabi
As of 1 August 2018, applications for visas and residence permits will be processed by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Abu Dhabi. However, applications will still be received through VFS Global in Teheran after this date.

Starting 2nd February 2020, the Regulation (EU) 2019/1155 amending the current Community Visa Code will enter into force.
