The Consulate General is looking for a new project officer to contribute to the building of networks and knowledge on important sectors for Norwegian economic interests. Norway is a small, but open economy, with important stakeholders in shipping, energy, seafood and green technology. The majority of Norwegian companies are based in Shanghai and surrounding provinces. Norwegian academic institutions cooperate with Chinese institutions, especially on climate, oceans and arctic issues.
We offer a challenging and dynamic work environment with multiple and varied tasks. We are a small, but engaged team, that work together on different aspects of Norwegian relations with eastern China. You need to be able to both see the bigger picture but also being flexible and able to solve concrete and detailed tasks. We look for someone who has experience on working with business, academic and science related events and projects. Who is both analytical and practical and can handle a varied and complex portfolio. Preferably the candidate also has experience working with social media, PR and communication.

Job description:
- Developing and implementing projects on business, innovation and research (arctic/climate)
- Collecting and analyzing data on important trends in relevant business sectors, especially maritime and green technology
- Translate in business meetings
- Contribute to the CGs social media work
Qualifications:
- A solid academic background at a post-graduate level
- At least five years of relevant work experience
- Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin), written and spoken
- Desirable is knowledge of Norway and Scandinavia
