Main responsibilities:
- Register visa and permit applications, perform initial case processing, and print visa stickers.
- Conduct interviews with applicants.
- Verify documents and write detailed verification reports.
- Respond to emails related to visa and permit applications.
- Maintain close communication with Norway’s Visa Application Centers.
- Receive applicants with official passports and collect biometric data.
- Perform other tasks as needed by the Visa Section.
- Note: The ambassador may adjust the responsibilities of the position if required.
Overtime should be expected in the peak season, which runs from April to August.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience with visa-related tasks in similar roles at other Foreign Service Missions is advantageous.
- University degree.
- Fluency in both written and spoken Chinese and English (mandatory).
- Proficiency in additional relevant languages is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Experience working in a cross-cultural environment.

- Must be able to work as part of a team.
- Must work in a structured, independent, and efficient manner with strong attention to details
- Must have solid communication skills.
- Must have a professional customer/client approach and demonstrate flexibility.
- Should have a strong work capacity.
- Should be able to adapt quickly to new routines and/or changing regulations.
Salary:
To be fixed, dependent on experience and qualifications.
Work permit:
All applicants must have a legal basis to live and work in China, either as Chinese citizen or with a correct visa/work permit in case of non-Chinese applicants.
