Position: Political officer
Type of employment: Full time (37,5h per week) two-year position, with a possibility for extension. A three-month probationary period applies.

The position will be part of the Embassy’s political team, which is responsible for analysing and reporting on political developments in Ukraine, as well as maintaining bilateral relations.
Main duties include:
•Contributing to information-gathering, analysis, and reporting.
•Supporting relationship-building activities with political actors and organisations.
•Attending and reporting on conferences and meetings.
•Contributing to the embassy’s social media activities.
Please note that the Ambassador may adjust the employee’s responsibilities in line with changes in the embassy’s priorities.
Mandatory requirements:
•Ukrainian citizenship
•Professional working proficiency in Ukrainian and English.
•Good knowledge of Ukrainian politics and political history.
•Relevant working experience from journalism, NGOs, political parties or government.
•Experience from writing analytical reports.
Preferred qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree or higher, relevant work experience may compensate for the lack of a degree.
Personal qualities:
•Professional, well-organised, and results oriented.
•Good communication skills
•Reliable, flexible, and a good team player.
•Proactive, able to work independently and able to take initiatives.

Main duties include:
•Planning delegation visits and embassy events, in cooperation with diplomatic staff.
•Coordinating programmes and logistics with Norwegian contact points, Ukrainian protocol and local partners.
•Supporting the administrative department of the Embassy in other matters.

•Professional working proficiency in Ukrainian and English.
•Experience from partnership relations, event planning, logistics, diplomatic protocol or other relevant areas.

•Working experience from government, NGOs, embassies, international organisations, or equivalent.
