The presentation of credentials marked the formal beginning of Ambassador Hattrem's four-year term as Ambassador of Norway to the United Kingdom.
The Ambassador was accompanied by his wife Marit Gjelten and four colleagues from among the Embassy's diplomatic staff.
From the Court Circular for 7 December 2023:
"His Excellency Mr. Tore Hattrem was received in audience by The King and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Kingdom of Norway to the Court of St. James's.
Ms. Marit Gjelten was also received by His Majesty.
Ms. Corin Robertson (Director General, Finance and Corporate, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office) was present."
