Storting and Sami parliamentary elections 2025

Voters who live or are staying abroad may vote in advance from Norwegian embassies and foreign diplomatic stations, or from other appointed returning officers. You can find more information available at https://www.valg.no/en/for-voters/parliamentary-election-2025/voting-from-abroad/

Voting rights

All Norwegian citizens who have turned 18 or will turn 18 by the end of the election year, have the right to vote if they are, or have been, registered as residents in Norway. The right to vote in the Sámi parliamentary election is granted to those who are registered in the Sámi electoral register. Identification

In order to vote, we need to know who you are. Therefore, you must show us identification. You can read more about identification at https://www.valg.no/en/for-voters/parliamentary-election-2025/identification/

How to contact us

To vote, we ask you to book an appointment by calling +2348139890050 during phone hours 8:00am - 4:00pm, or by sending an email to consular.abuja@mfa.no. You will receive a response from us.

If you wish to give advance notice of your attendance, you can send an email to consular.abuja@mfa.no

Voting by mail

If you are unable to visit, you can order official election materials by contacting us via email at consular.abuja@mfa.no or by phone at +2348139890050. You can use this equipment to send your vote by mail from your location. The embassy has phone hours 8:00am - 4:00pm. Remember to order in good time. Your vote must be received by the municipality in Norway no later than 17:00 on Tuesday 9 September.
