The Norwegian Embassy in Tokyo has a vacant position as driver / administrative officer

The Norwegian Embassy in Tokyo is seeking a highly motivated and service-oriented driver/administrative officer.

The main responsibility will be driving tasks, but the successful candidate will also be part of the administrative team and contribute with various administrative tasks at the Embassy and around our Embassy compound in Hiroo.

This is a varied and interesting position at an active Embassy with a good working environment. We seek a person who likes driving tasks, but who also appreciates a varied workday and to work in close cooperation with both diplomats and local colleagues.

 

Key responsibilities for the position:

  • Driver for the embassy including messenger services
  • Practical and custodial tasks at the embassy compound
  • Administrative tasks as part of the administrative team

 

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Previous experience as a driver, professional driving experience in Tokyo desired, but not required
  • Japanese driver’s license is required
  • Good skills, both written and spoken, in Japanese and English
  • Must have legal basis to work in Japan
  • Office experience desired, but not requited

What we offer:

Job type: Permanent, full time.

Salary: 6,0 to 6,6 million yen annually.

Work hours: 09:00-17:00 Monday-Friday. Overtime compensated according to local law and embassy regulations.

Holidays: 25 paid annual leave days (after one year of employment).

A friendly and inclusive working environment, located in newly renovated offices in Hiroo.
