Humanitarian crises disproportionately affect children. This side event will highlight the role of two important frameworks in protecting children in conflict settings: The Mine Ban Convention and the Safe Schools Declaration. We will discuss the gains and challenges in their implementation and the way forward to create effective frameworks to protect children in and after armed conflicts.
