On World Humanitarian day we pay tribute to the first responders in humanitarian crises as the real heroes of today. Often risking their own health – and sometimes life - they are treating and preventing COVID-19; providing food; and setting up safe spaces for women and girls. Resources must swiftly reach frontline responders. They are the first to take action in humanitarian crises, and they stay on when others leave.
