10th Periodic Report of Norway to CEDAW, 9th of February 2023

The Norwegian delegation was led by Minister of Culture and Equality Anette Trettebergstuen and included representatives from the Ministry of Culture and Equality, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, the Ministry of Health and Care Services, the Ministry of Children and Family Affairs, the Ministry of Labour and Social Inclusion and The Norwegian Directorate for Children, Youth and Family Affairs

The Norwegian delegation participated in the hearing of Norway in the 84th Session of the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) on the 9th of February 2023 in Geneva. The CEDAW committee reviewed Norway’s fulfilment of the obligations under the Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW/C/NOR/10).

In her statement, the Minister highlighted the government’s strong commitment to undertaking measures on the national and international levels to achieve gender equality.
