Thank you Vice-President,
Norway commends Estonia's strong commitment to human rights and the positive steps taken to implement previous recommendations. Estonia's clear and principled voice in defense of human rights, as member of this Council and elsewhere, is important in our collective effort to promote and protect universal human rights.
Norway recommends that Estonia:
- Strengthen the legal provisions to effectively prohibit and address all forms of hate crime and discrimination.
- Ensure the social inclusion of persons with disabilities and equal opportunities for their participation in the labour market.
- Ratify ILO convention No. 155 and No. 187 and take steps to improve occupational safety and health.
Thank you.
