Thank you, Chair,
Saturday, Russia launched one of the largest waves of missiles and drones since the beginning of this war.
Once again, it is civilians who suffer most. Once again, homes, schools and hospitals are struck. There is no strategy in this—only a decision to spread fear. It is telling that a regime that claims strength—chooses to answer calls for peace with missiles in the night.
Norway condemns these attacks in the strongest terms. We stand with Ukraine. We will continue to support its defense and its people. And we will continue to work with partners to ensure that pressure on Russia grows.
These strikes are not a sign of strength, but of desperation. They are not victories, but admissions of failure. It is our shared duty to ensure it remains so. And in this lies both our responsibility and our strength.
I thank you.
