The Delegation of the European Union as well as the Embassies of Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States are appalled by the March 1 assault in Abiemnhom County in the Ruweng Administrative Area. This brutal attack resulted in at least 169 deaths, including children and other civilians.
Those responsible for these atrocities must be held to account. South Sudan’s leaders have to work together to end violence and re-establish peace across the country.
