Key Responsibilities
- Plan menus and prepare meals for breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and official functions
- Cater for events at the residence, ranging from small dinners to larger receptions
- Manage all kitchen operations, including purchasing, budgeting, and inventory
- Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and timely service
- Maintain hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards in accordance with regulations
- Oversee kitchen cleaning in coordination with residence staff
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a chef, preferably in high-standard restaurants, hotels, or diplomatic residences
- Strong skills in preparing a variety of cuisines; experience with Scandinavian cuisine is an advantage but not required
- Ability to design creative menus and adapt to diverse dietary requirements
- Solid understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Good communication skills in English
- Professional, flexible, and service-oriented attitude
- Willingness to work evenings and occasionally weekends
Employment Conditions
The position is offered as a full-time, permanent local contract subject to a three-month probation period. Working hours are 40 hours per week, primarily during daytime, with regular evening events. The salary is competitive and based on qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include partial medical coverage, annual leave, and a 13th-month salary.
