Madame Chair,
Today marks the seventh anniversary of Russia’s illegal annexation of Crimea, a blatant violation of international law. We thank the esteemed representative of the Russian Federation for this opportunity to reiterate that Norway does not, and will not, recognise Russia’s purported annexation of Crimea. Our consistent support of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognised borders, including the Crimean Peninsula and the adjoining territorial waters is well known.
