The ideal candidate will have an excellent command of Hungarian and English, both written and spoken, as well as strong secretarial skills and relevant work experience. Knowledge of Norwegian or another Nordic language will be considered an advantage if candidates are otherwise equally qualified.
The position requires a person who can manage a large workload, has strong attention to detail, relevant education and experience with standard office software, and excellent organisational abilities. Good teamwork skills and a positive contribution to an enjoyable working environment are also important.
The duties include, among other tasks, maintaining the Ambassador’s and expatriate staff’s calendars and programmes, scheduling meetings, managing invitations, arranging bank transfers, VAT refunds and customs clearance, drafting correspondence in Hungarian and English, organising events, managing office supplies, and substituting for the reception clerk and the information/cultural officer in their absence.
Salary will be agreed based on qualifications and experience.
