The bilateral relations between Norway and Moldova were established in 1992. In 2024, a Royal Norwegian Embassy Office was opened in Chișinău, operating under the administration of the Norwegian Embassy in Romania. In 2026 the Embassy Office was upgraded to an Embassy.
