Visitor’s visa and residence permit
A visitor's visa allows you to stay in Norway or other Schengen countries for up to 90 days over a period of 180 days. A residence permit gives you the opportunity to work in Norway and to stay for more than 90 days.
How to apply for a Schengen visa to Norway
Kazakhstan passport holders need a visa to enter Norway. The representation agreement between Norway and Lithuania is reactivated since 4th July 2022.
The Embassy of Lithuania in Nur-Sultan processes short stay Schengen visa applications for applicants from Kazakhstan on behalf of Norway.

Regarding residence applications submitted in Kazakhstan
There has been a change in which Embassy is responsible for the residence applications submitted in Kazakhstan.
Applications submitted in Kazakhstan will no longer be sent to the Norwegian Embassy in Moscow, the responsible mission will now be the Norwegian Embassy in Ankara.
From Monday 23 January applications submitted in Kazakhstan will be transferred to the Embassy in Ankara.
Applicants in Kazakhstan will continue to submit their applications to the VFS In Kazakhstan.
Applications for residence permits in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Armenia can from Monday 23 January can be submitted at one of the VFS centers in the Ankara region, in addition to the Moscow region.
