Promoting Norway

The Promoting Norway Profile brings together government institutions, partners, and initiatives under a shared visual identity. By using one strong and recognisable brand, we ensure that Norway stands out internationally – with greater visibility, credibility, and impact.

Guidelines for Using the Norway Profile Abroad

To strengthen Norway’s visibility as a donor, mission, or delegation, these guidelines provide direction on ensuring unity and correct presentation when promoting Norway internationally.

Promoting Norway Logo

The Promoting Norway logo should be used whenever possible on conferences, social media, videos, websites, and other project-related materials.

Grant recipients are expected to use the Promoting Norway logo in all publications, reports, press releases, and other written materials. At project sites, recipients may also display donor information through signboards, plaques, or similar visibility measures.

Security Considerations

All users and grant recipients must always take security concerns into account when deciding on the appropriate level of visibility for a project.

Placement

The logo must always be clearly visible, legible, and balanced with other design elements.
Incorrect use includes, for example:

  • placing the logo too close to an edge
  • crowding it with other logos or graphic elements

Grant recipients may not place the Promoting Norway logo on property or visibility items such as office buildings, vehicles, clothing, umbrellas, or pens.

Promoting Norway Logo Versions

The Promoting Norway logo consists of two elements: the Norwegian flag and descriptive text.

  • The text is available in two versions: positive (black) and negative (white).
  • The flag must always be shown in colour. If colour printing is available, the flag may never be reproduced in black and white.

Clear Space

The amount of clear space around the logo is equal to the height of the letter N in the wordmark.

This provides ample breathing room for the logo, without other elements causing a distraction to the logo.

Logo translations

The logo is set in English, and in most cases, this is the one to use. translations.png
