The Norwegian Embassy in Riyadh supports Norwegian companies and business interests in cooperation with Innovation Norway, Norwegian Energy Partners and the Norwegian Seafood Council both in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman and Yemen. Together, as Team Norway, we promote Norwegian competitive advantages within all sectors, however our priorities are oil & gas, renewables, the maritime and marine sectors, including aquaculture and seafood, as well as digitalization, new technology and green technology.

The Embassy in Riyadh

The overall priority of the Norwegian Embassy in Riyadh is to secure and enhance Norwegian business relations and promote Norwegian products and services in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman and Yemen. The embassy contributes to strengthening bilateral trade relations by facilitating market access, supporting and hosting events and activities that showcase Norwegian innovation and technology, creating platforms for networking between Norwegian businesses and key local players, assisting delegations and visits, suggesting and setting up meetings between Norwegian companies and local authorities, organizations and possible partners. The embassy offers advice, gathers information and analysis, suggest contact persons and helps Norwegian companies and businesspeople in entering the local markets, within the embassy’s limited resources. A few dozen Norwegian companies are established in Saudi Arabia, and many more operate from Norway, or from other business hubs in the region, or via local agents. Innovation Norway

Innovation Norway (IN) offer advice, networks and expertise to Norwegian companies with international ambitions. IN is based in Dubai and covers the whole GCC region from there. IN works to promote bilateral trade between Norway and all countries in the region and offers a wide range of services for Norwegian companies planning to establish themselves in the region. IN helps Norwegian companies to succeed in the local market through counselling, offering market information, doing partner searches, facilitating meetings, assisting delegations and visits, arranging networking events and hosting Norwegian pavilions at exhibitions and fairs. NORWEP

Norwegian Energy Partners

Norwegian Energy Partners (NORWEP) is an independent non-profit foundation established to strengthen the long-term basis for value creation and employment in the Norwegian energy industry by facilitating the industry’s international business activities. NORWEP has 280 partners and company members from the Norwegian offshore, energy, and maritime industries. NORWEP works closely with Norwegian companies in order to advise them on market entry, market information, and how and where to establish. NORWEP organises network meetings, workshops, and discussions with decision makers in national oil companies (NOCs), international oil companies (IOCs), engineering, procurement, and engineering companies (EPCs), and others. The Norwegian Seafood Council

The Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC) works on behalf of the Norwegian seafood industry to promote the trade of Norwegian seafood. Norway is the second largest seafood exporter in the world with distribution to more than 130 countries. By increasing awareness and preference for seafood from Norway, the seafood council’s marketing helps establishing a solid foundation for individual exporters when promoting their products. The Norwegian embassy cooperates closely with the seafood council in gaining market access and within promotion and marketing activities in Saudi Arabia, including fairs and exhibitions.
