The accreditation marks a milestone in the already good relationship with the member states of the organization, and will deepen cooperation in areas of common interest such as the blue economy, and the fight against plastic pollution and climate change.

Further, the East-Caribbean member states are at the forefront in the fight against marine litter. Several countries have already banned single-use-plastic. In fact, Norway and the OECS has already mapped out concrete cooperation projects within the area of marine pollution and plastics.

Norway is looking forward to strengthen already good relations with the member states of the OECS.
