Visitor’s visa and residence permit
A visitor's visa allows you to stay in Norway or other Schengen countries for up to 90 days over a period of 180 days. A residence permit gives you the opportunity to work in Norway and to stay for more than 90 days.
Citizens of Yemen must apply for a visitor's visa. Likewise, citizens of Yemen need a residence permit in order to work or to take up residence for longer than 90 days.
Citizens of Yemen may apply for visitor’s visa through the Norwegian Embassy in Abu Dhabi or the Norwegian Embassy in Cairo.
Applications for residence permits for Norway are handled by the Norwegian Embassy in Nairobi.

Covid-19 and entry requirements to Norway
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic entry restrictions to Norway have been introduced. For more information about the entry restrictions that have entered into force as a result of the Covid-19 situation, please visit UDI's information page about the Corona situation.
Arriving travelers to Norway are required to register their name, contact details, place of quarantine and employer (if applicable) and any other information requested by completing an online registration form. The general rule is that travellers to Norway must register their information. After completing the digital registration, you will receive a receipt which you must present to the police at the border control. You cannot register your journey earlier than 72 hours prior to the time of arrival.
